= 405 calories.

Well on my way towards killing 1700 calories easily.

Diet Day 2: 12/13/2016

Diet: Day 1

I forgot to publish this yesterday, so I figured I would play catch up. On Monday, December 12th, I started my diet once again. I'm not really end to trendy shit when it comes to diets, mainly because it does not work. I'm counting calories...that's it.

My target is 1700 per day, give or take. Actually, my calorie app estimated that I could do well over 2000 per day and lose weight but I think that's crap. Besides, my system is all jacked up, since my body is fighting my nervous system issues, so I don't lose weight like a "normal" person would. I gave to get a touch more extreme.

So anyways, I clocked in at 1720 yesterday. Not bad I guess. So far today, 936 for breakfast & lunch, so we'll see where I end up at 7:00 pm (I never eat after 7).

Welcome To My Journey

Welcome to my new blog, or should I say, my new journey. First off, many of you know me as a blogger or a social media blow hard or a wannabe politician. Yeah, I'm all those things. I'm also at a cross road in my life and changes needed to be made urgently. 

I've always been overweight. Back in my high school football days, it was a benefit. Now that I'm 41, not so much. I'm a father of two and a grandfather of two, so I'm hoping to stick around a bit, but in order to improve my quality of life, I needed to change some very bad habits. 

About 20 years ago, I began developing what I thought at first was a back problem. Slowly over time, I developed neuropathy in my legs, feet & neck. What was once thought to be a back issue turns out to be a mystery nervous system disorder. Yup, I've been to specialist after specialist and they still can't figure out what is wrong with me. I'm in tremendous pain constantly, which sent me into early retirement just over a year ago. 

Since then, I've pretty much given up and with that, my weight has EXPLODED. Right now, I'm at the heaviest weight I've ever been at, a whopping 359 pounds! I needed a wake up call to snap me out of my depression due to not being able to work and boy did I get it...LOUD AND CLEAR. 

So of course, I'm changing my diet, getting involved in a year long healthy living program provided by my tribe with my wife (I'm a Pokagon Band citizen), joining "TEAM DDP" (again with my wife) and in order to stick with my lifestyle changes, I'm going to chronicle my journey right here. 

In addition to daily personal updates, I will also use this blog to spout off about sports and politics. Hell, if I spent every day writing about my fat ass, I would get bored quick. So, I'll sprinkle other stuff in. I used to get paid to blog online. Now, I'm doing this strictly as motivation.
